Motion releases tension. Whenever I felt that tension and anxiety were coming up I used to stop what I was doing and move. I started to dance or shadow box and I felt much better after doing these things. After I did this I went to the kitchen and drank or ate something in order to distract myself a little bit from the word panic.
#2 Change Thoughts Immediately
Another thing I did was to fully concentrate myself on other things as soon as anxiety was coming up. For example: I was watching TV and suddenly I felt that panic is buidling it’s way to my brain. So I got up and looked into the sky and I looked at the clouds or at the moon and started to think how beautiful these things were. This did help me a lot.
#3 Mindset & Hobbies
Start to change your mindset. Come on let us live this life and get the most out of it. Defeat your panic attacks by taking BACK controll of your brain. If you have a hobby that’s great. I like martial arts and so i went to the gym 6 days a week working like a dog. But that’s what i liked doing and it gave my life a new sense. If you like to paint, then start painting in your freetime. But please, slowly stop thinking about panic attacks 24/7. And if you don’t have a hobby then search one. Everyone will find something suitable.
#4 Music
Music did also help me a lot. I always had my favourite CD in my stereo. When I had problems with panic attacks I used to turn up the volume, sing and dance. It really helps. And besides, it helps you to feel a little happier and to get some postive thoughts.
#5 Fear Is Your Friend
I will only say this: Fear is like fire. Learn to use it correctly and it becomes your friend. It can cook for you and it can make you feel warm when it’s cold. But if you don’t appreciate it it will burn your house.
